When I first got my jeep the muffler was one thing i wanted to change for sure, but i didn’t know what taste i liked; loud or soft: Anyway the Magnaflow I have is fantastic. i wanted low idle noise but some muscle when i take off. Plus everyone here in KY has a Flowmaster. Anyways i’ll post a vid with some clear pics in the next couple of days so you can see the difference.. Honestly it sounds the same as the straight through muffler.
the mangaflow i place on was relocated to under the cab instead of under the back bumper. it was pretty much a straight through design, and the consensus is that the jk needs a excellent amount of back pressure. the Banks kit is made by Banks Power and it is a catback kit. so far the only complain i have is its pretty silent. but i didnt do the system for sound, only for power and fuel economy
Ok, well that helps me and I reckon I will keep the stock muffler on van for a while. For your Jeep though I reckon a Borla Pro XS muffler will be just right for the 3.8. I was going to get one for my van but it is hard to install an oval muffler since of the stow n’ go seating.
i am thinking about going to a slightly better muffler instead of a glass pack. i couldnt tell if there was an increase in performance, the intake was installed first which i really felt a performance increase

Hey Man thats bullshit. ALL YOU DID WAS TAKE OFF THE MUFFLER. MY JEEP SOUNDS THE SAME.
throttle body spacer banks monster exhaust air intake and a notebook chip programmer
i did the right flow intake. what jeep version do you have?
With the right flow, banks exhaust, and hypertech programmer i am getting around 20 city
i like the jeep but the gas mileage sucks ——what do you urge
did you do anything with the intake
so did the magna flow work better at the relocation or is it a total flop

your saying the magna flow HURT performance————what is a banks kit ——was it better
it is the 3.8 v6. i just installed the banks kit on to the jk. the magnaflow really hurt performance and fuel economy
is this a 3.8 v8——-or what
what air intake did u place on?
i really agree with loralee it sounds like a honda lmao
i have since changed the end pipe and it sounds alot better. i will have to post another vid of it
That sounds like total garbage. Sounds like a rice burner. Take my advice and place a stock muffler on it.

Oh really? Did you notice any performace increase? And are you going back to stock or just a uncommon muffler alltogther?
i really say a fall in milage. i am thinking about changing it out. it only cost me about $100 do have it installed and welded too.
Its sounds pretty excellent. Might have to try that for my van. BTW, did you notice a power and fuel milage increase?
it is a magnaflow glass pack exhaust.
i have yet to go the shield from under the bumper to over the muffler
sounds sick. what muffler did you use?
did u place a heat shield under the driver seat?
