i see how the host can be speechless at time. Logo and graphic design of Paul Rand is very simplistic, so there isnt much to say.

Kris: I apologize for insulting the host. His sensitivity was in the right place and he has excellent taste–at least in his choice of guests–but as an actor myself, I’ve by no means understood the common disconnect between what other artists like and what they produce. So, he can keep the “kiss the sky” helmut of hair, but do something about the set. It looked like the decoration you might see on the walls inside a drive-in theater snack bar! Not a very honorable background for the interview of a design titan!

it’s not about his hair, its about the content of the Show!!!!
it’s not terrible taste, it’s just that the design, fashion, etc has be converted into dated so we view it as something “ancient and crappy”. that’s what happens when you choose to be stylish with design.

I can’t believe the host is a designer. He has terrible taste in hair, clothing, set design and the title graphics for his show!

this is a really fascinating video. host is pretty dry…but otherwise its pretty excellent
Hey, cut me some slack. We’re talking 1988 and life a 1946 baby boomer, I bought into the 60s huge time, with the haircut, hemp and Hendrix. Defense me…while I kiss the sky.
Besides the host life the least bit interested in any of this, he’s got a terrible haircut.
