A Spry is an amazing feature of , Dreamweaver, to me its the best feature after maybe the “behaviors in Dreamweaver, you see a spry is controlled by a set of CSS rules, 2 for a Spry Tooltip, 11 for accordion and 8 for a Spry Collapsible Panel Once u get used to playing with these rules , u can bend them to get amazing looking spry widgets! and the only way you can understanding these rules is by experimenting with them..when i started out it seemed like an uphill task if u ask me today its become a 2nd habit . and these rules are pretty easy..a few clicks and the colours change , the hovers change or the dimensions chage..borders and inserted and backgrounds altered in no time..no need to handcode ..no need to know a javascript. I am all for dreamweaver and up againt the class of people who condemn it as being overbloated or overpriced..if anything Dreamweaver is pure magic! .adobecs5.in http The more I work with dreamweaver the more I realize that Dreamweaver is such a powerful tool.. here you will see what a spry tooltip is..a spry tooltip widget is a pop up like a callout that gives some information about the target its hovered over ( called the trigger for the spry tooltip)…a spry tooltip can be applied to text or image alike , but u cannot have 2 tooltips applied to the same image nor can you apply tooltips to hotspots on an image..pls dont insert too many tooltips as they can slowdown the loading time of yr webpage, Dreamweaver has been criticized for being overpriced and over-bloated; but to me its strength lies in making complex tasks look so simple. Here we can see how dreamweaver does it so immaculatey well.. whether its spry menus/ spry accordions or tabbed sprys- dreamweaver treats them with consummate ease.. the combination of Dreamweaver/ Flash and Fireworks is very effective.
